As of the time of this exercise, there is no operating modular refinery plant in Abia State or any refinery project that has secured License to Establish, LTE. The Abia State Government recently initiated the first modular refinery project of 5000 barrels per day in partnership with HSI Energy Resources, to be sited at the Abia Industrial Innovation Park, Owaza, Ukwa West LGA in the industrial park, with a projection to come on stream in 2025. This is to woo other potential investors into the Industrial Park.
